Elk Grove Carpet Cleaning 2013:
Spring is just about here and people are making plans for their annual Spring Cleaning. I know because my clients are calling me and wanting to schedule an appointment for Carpet Cleaning, Tile & Grout Cleaning, Concrete Cleaning, Tile Shower Cleaning, etc. Recently a client, who I had cleaned her travertine floor just about a year ago was calling me to clean her carpets this time.
Last year this hard working single mother had used a coupon from Val PaK to have her carpets cleaned. The coupon was for $99.00 and it appeared to be a bargain. Her carpets were cleaned by local carpet cleaner on a Monday and I arrived on Tuesday to clean and seal the travertine floor. When I arrived I could tell she was uneasy and I asked her what was wrong. She said that she had paid this guy $99.00 to clean her carpets and they were still wet from the day before. I asked her to show me the rooms and the stains were still visible in the carpets as were the wand strokes from his machine, and yes the carpets were still wet. As a courtesy I treated the stains with a residue free stain remover, raked her carpet, and put a blow dryer in each room. The blow dryers dried out the carpets in about (2) hours and the carpets looked much better.
This year when it was time to clean her carpets again she did not call the 'Coupon Guy' but called me instead. I told her that I would be more than double of what she paid last time (this was a whole house cleaning) and she agreed to the price. It took me about (3) hours of non-stop work to clean and dry her carpets. Her carpets finished drying about (2) hours later. As I was setting the knap (raking the carpet) she told me that she had never seen anyone do that before. I explained to her that there are (12) distinct steps I take when cleaning carpets and in order to beat me on price the other guy would have to leave out some of those (12) steps. The big question is which one(s)?
It goes without saying - "Cheap things aren't good and good things aren't cheap."
Have A Great Day,
